This open library is located at 13 Olei Hagardom St. and was developed thanks to active neighborhood residents who contacted the community administration and requested that a small structure be built for local residents to borrow and lend out books based on a give-take system.
This outdoor library would also be used for planned community gatherings and events, by passers-by looking for a cool place to rest on a hot day or seeking shelter from the rain in the winter and a place where they can pick up a book to read or talk to other people.
The library was designed for the East Talpiot and Young Arnona community administration as part of "Taasu Makom" (Placemaking project), a joint initiative of Eden Company, Jerusalem Municipality Community Administration and in cooperation with the Municipality Operations Administration.
